Gospel Week Day 3

Our third day began with our team devotion, led by Ken. He shared from Genesis 12:4 and Romans 9:24, reminding us that God calls people from all nations. Our job is to be like Abram and to faithfully obey His call and "go" wherever He tells us. Sometimes that "going" means getting on a plane to Cambodia. Other times, it means loving someone right in front of us who might be difficult to love. In either case, when we obey, we get to be a part of His work. After his sharing, Ken led us in a praise song, and we had a wonderful time of worship together.

Today at the school, Chanphalla delivered the message on the color red. Our team then led the "Creation Sphere" craft  and made a point to eat lunch with the teachers. We're definitely feeling a good rhythm now, and it's clear that partnering with the teachers is the key.

The lunch was a fantastic opportunity to connect, especially for our team members who don't speak the language. We had a great time getting to know four of the English-speaking teachers and were so blessed to learn that they are all believers.

One teacher, in particular, spoke with such passion about her love for the Lord and her joy in teaching the Bible to the kids. It was so inspiring to see their genuine love for God and their desire to serve Him.

They mentioned they aren't sure about the faith of the rest of the staff, so we are now praying specifically that God will strengthen these teachers and use them to lead the others to Him.

We also have a huge praise to share! All of our missing shipment boxes have now arrived! The timing worked out great! This is a direct answer to prayer. It was so good to have all the materials we had planned for, and we're so thankful that God provided.

This evening, we had dinner with five of the local missionaries. Their stories were a living example of our morning devotion. They shared how they were called to come here, and they were honest about the times they didn't want to stay in Cambodia. But God, in His faithfulness, changed their hearts and attitudes and now they love Cambodia. They are incredibly passionate about serving, even though they get busy and tired from prepping for the day long before their day starts. They pray for God to give them strength, and He always helps them. They are always short on staff but still manage to do so many things for the ministry.

Please pray for us as we head into Day 4:

As you know, Gospel week is something new the school is doing and it's our first time collaborating with them. We are all learning and finding the best ways to work together! Please pray for our team to be quick to see opportunities to help. Pray for God to show us the practical needs of the staff and give us the wisdom to know when and how to best step in and support them outside of our scheduled lesson times.
