Day 4 began with a devotion led by Peipei from Romans 10:13-18. Our job isn't to be the most eloquent speakers, the most talented musicians, or the most creative crafters. Our job is simply to be faithful messengers of "the word about Christ."
At the morning assembly, Vanny shared a beautiful, short message on the color white, representing a clean heart, washed free from sin by Jesus.

We’ve been praying for God to show us how to step in and serve, and today He answered that prayer in a powerful way. After the assembly, instead of us prepping the craft during the lesson, the teachers asked us to join them in the classrooms. This is where the invitation to receive Christ happened. The teachers did a wonderful job reviewing the whole Gospel message with the colors. Then they offered a simple, powerful invitation for the children to receive Christ. For the classrooms where teachers weren't yet comfortable leading the prayer, our team members were invited to be the ones to pray with the new believers.
And then, the response.
Many, many children said they believe in Jesus. A total of 140 students raised their hands!!! We were all overjoyed, and Rosana shared the most beautiful story. The six girls in her class were so visibly moved by the Holy Spirit that they cried as they raised their hands. One of the girls told her afterward, "I felt Jesus hug me." It is so wonderful and humbling to see children experience the love and presence of God at such a young age.

Joining the lesson before the craft made such a difference. We felt so much more engaged, joining in the singing and participating in the games. It felt like we truly connected with them on a new level.

To help them remember the day and the full Gospel story, our craft was to make bracelets with the five colors of the Wordless Book. The kids loved it. Even the youngest group was able to participate. It was also a beautiful lesson in perseverance! We watched a few of the little ones struggle to keep the tiny beads on the string without dropping them, and some almost gave up. With a bit of help and encouragement, every single one finished, and they were so excited to show us their completed bracelets.

In the afternoon, we had our culture day. We started at the Russian Market. We had a great time finding souvenirs, and everyone left with bags to take home.
Next, we visited S21 (the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum). It was a heartbreaking and heavy experience, but so important for understanding the deep pain and resilience in this country's history.
We ended the day at the Aeon Mall, which was the total opposite of the Russian market, modern and expensive. Seeing these three very different places in just a few hours really gave us a much deeper understanding of the complex realities of Cambodia.
Prayer requests:
First, a HUGE praise! Thank God for the 140 students who responded to the Gospel today! Pray for the teachers to have wisdom, patience, and strength to guide these new, young believers.
